About Tandoori Oven
A survey conducted few years ago shows that many people took word ‘Tandoori’ as a recipe. In fact, it’s a century old cooking technique that is synonymous with the food that is prepared. Tandoori oven has a clay pot with narrow mouth and curved belly. The curve of the clay pot has been improved over the years so that rising heat from the heat of the charcoal draws back in the oven and not escape from the mouth. The meat cooked in a tandoori clay oven develops a crisp outer layer without sacrificing moistness on the inside. Be warned – Tandoors without sufficient wall depth and insulation available elsewhere may not give the desired results when cooking.
